Croxton School is a government Prep – Year 12 school catering for students with a mild intellectual disability. It provides a safe and supportive learning environment where students are challenged to achieve and reach their full potential. We offer multi-campus setting options at both Thornbury Primary School and Thornbury High School.
Croxton School has well defined policies and programs that support student wellbeing and create a safe and engaging learning environment. We have implemented our School-wide Positive Behaviour Support practices of Respect, Safety and Responsibility.
Croxton School has highly qualified and experienced staff to meet the challenges of present, as well as, emerging trends in education for students with special needs. They are committed, in partnership with parents and carers, to ensure a safe, empathetic, professional approach to providing a quality education for all students under their care and guidance. Students may attend on a full time or part time basis.
Class groups are small and most classes have a teacher and teacher aide, so that students get an intensive and individualised attention to support their individual education plan.
